Juventus, Milan and Como have given fewer minutes in Serie A to Italian players this season than Inter have on their own.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, using Transfermarkt data, the three clubs have a combined 1,361 minutes from players available to Roberto Mancini after five rounds of Serie A. That is 48 fewer than Inter, who have used just four Italians: Nicolò Barella, Alessandro Bastoni, Federico Dimarco and Pio Esposito have all been near-constant presences.

Juventus are 16th on 754 minutes, 720 of them from Guglielmo Vicario and Manuel Locatelli, who now faces months out after knee surgery. Milan are 17th on 383, led by Alphadjo Cisse, while Como have given 224, more than half of them to Moise Kean since his move from Fiorentina.

Frosinone lead Serie A for Italian minutes

At the other end, Massimiliano Alvini’s Frosinone have given 3,459 minutes to 12 Italians, more than double the combined total of the bottom five. Fellow newcomers Monza (2,813) and Atalanta (2,288) complete the top three, ahead of Cagliari and Lazio.

Venezia, the third promoted side, prop up the table with just 20 minutes, all from Matteo Dagasso.

In total, 122 Italy-eligible players have featured so far. Twelve have played every minute, and half of them are goalkeepers: Marco Carnesecchi, Elia Caprile, Lorenzo Palmisani, Vicario, Wladimiro Falcone and Edoardo Corvi. Parma are the only club with three ever-presents, Corvi, Enrico Delprato and Emanuele Valeri.

Napoli’s Giovanni Di Lorenzo has also played every minute, despite losing his Italy starting spot to Michael Kayode.
