Journalist claims Milan’s new sensation Cisse is ‘changing landscape’ of Italian football: “A key player”
In the near future, Alphadjo Cisse will be offered a new deal by AC Milan, but he will not only be a big player for them in the future.
Milan’s keenness to give Cisse a renewal speaks for itself. He’s outscored a €73m addition in Goncalo Ramos and he’s outscored Christian Pulisic for 2026 – it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to work out why everyone is so excited about him.
After strong performances with the Italian Under-21 squad, he’s once again shining for his club and calls for a senior international call-up are only growing. It’s becoming more difficult to silence them, too.
Cisse’s future is bright
Arianna Ravelli, a journalist for Gazzetta dello Sport, had a lot of praise for Cisse’s start in the Rossoneri colours, but added that he could be influential for Italian football generally.
“Alphadjo Cisse’s hat-trick against Salzburg is much more than good news for AC Milan,” MilanNews relays.
“It’s another piece of an Italian football scene that is changing, perhaps a few years later than the club he’s supposed to represent. Cisse was born in Treviso to Guinean parents, chose the Azzurri shirt, and a few days ago scored the Under-21 team’s decisive goal against Armenia in the 95th minute.
“As we know, he’s not alone. Different names, stories, different families. An Italy that’s changing. Or rather, that has already changed. Perhaps football has noticed this a little late.”
It’s a lot of praise for a 19-year-old in his first season in Serie A, but it’s difficult to deny that it’s unjustified.
