Christian Pulisic scooped another Man of the Match award after his performance against Genoa, and he was happy to have contributed to a win.

Milan needed to bounce back after their Europa League defeat against Ferencvaros on Thursday night and they did exactly that, winning 2-1 against a Genoa side that came into the game having won four of their last fine.

Alphadjo Cisse opened the scoring with his eighth goal of the season, while Christian Pulisic also struck inside the opening 20 minutes to put the Rossoneri in control. Ellertsson pulled one back late to set up a nervy finish, but Milan hung on to move fourth, at least for the time being.

Pulisic collected his MOTM award from Lega Serie A and then headed over to speak with DAZN to share his thoughts on the game, with his words via MilanNews.

A reaction was needed, and it arrived…

“We showed a reaction from the first minute. We started strong, we scored two goals. It’s not easy to play here, these are three important points.”

In the pre-match you told us that you are in great shape…

“I want to score more and more goals. I want to keep going like this.”
