“It takes time” – Pato confident Milan ‘will return to the way they once were’

Pato is one of those names that has remained etched in the memories of Milan fans. Having moved over to Europe as a teenager, he burst onto the scene with a string of electric performances and he quickly became a fan favourite.

He seemed like a generational striker, destined to compete with the biggest names of the last 15 years, but things quickly ran aground. A series of injuries ultimately stunted his development and he never reached the hoped-for heights, though he remains someone the Rossoneri fans adore.

On the eve of an important away match against Genoa, Gianluca Di Marzio’s show managed to get some comments from Pato Formula 1 Grand Prix in Brazil. The Brazilian striker expressed positive and confident outlook on his former club, with his words relayed by MilanVibes.

“We wrapped up a derby in 10 minutes. I hope the season can continue like this and go well. I hope Milan can play more games like this. It takes time to get results, but I’m confident that Milan will return to the way they once were,” he said.
