Inzaghi emerges as Juventus option to replace Spalletti in 2027-28
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that ex-Inter and Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi is a candidate to replace the Bianconeri’s coach in 2027-28.
Luciano Spalletti is already under pressure as Juventus have had a slow start to the season, grabbing only 11 points in seven Serie A matches with three wins, two draws and two losses.
Multiple sources claim that club directors and ownership are unwilling to replace Spalletti mid-season. The Tuscan tactician is under contract at the Allianz Stadium until 2028.
Their stance will inevitably change if results don’t improve over the next few months, prompting the Bianconeri to look to a caretaker coach, with Stefano Pioli and Antonio Conte emerging as potential replacements mid-season.
However, if Spalletti finishes the season without reaching the minimum target, Champions League qualification, Juventus would look for a different type of coach.
According to Gazzetta, former Inter manager Simone Inzaghi, currently in charge of Al-Hilal, is among Juventus’ leading candidates. The Italian coach, who guided Inter to the Serie A title in the 2023-24 season, is highly regarded for his top-flight experience, ability to develop players, and understanding of the club’s needs.
During his time at Inter, Inzaghi also won the Coppa Italia twice, the Supercoppa Italiana three times, and reached the Champions League Final in 2023 and 2025.
