Messages of congratulations have been flooding in after Kane was announced as the winner of the 2026 men’s Ballon d’Or award at the Palladium in London on Monday evening.

Inter defenders Stones and Spence, who played alongside Kane at the 2026 World Cup, posted messages to their social media profiles shortly after the award was presented on Monday night.

Stones, who has been an England international teammate of Kane’s for the last 11 years, reacted with a series of emojis on his Instagram story, while Spence, who briefly played alongside Kane at Tottenham and also with England over the last year, wrote: “My captain.”

There was even a message of congratulations from Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti during his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, labelling Kane’s goalscoring numbers as “frightening.”
