Inter Quietly Kicking the Tires on a Few Goalkeepers
Josep Martinez has had very up-and-down performances and a few blunders since Inter handed him the reins and, while he’s unlikely to be demoted soon, the brass is doing their due diligence should they eventually go in a different direction.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via Calcio Style), the Nerazzurri, Inter, and Fiorentina are keeping tabs on River Plate’s Santiago Beltran. He’s unlikely to renew his contract, which expires in December 2027. His price tag amounts to €20M, but his side will lose leverage over time. He debuted with Argentina last June, and some consider him Dibu Martínez’s heir.
Inter are also monitoring a pair of Serie A options: Maduka Okoye and Filip Stankovic. Per Messaggero Veneto (via Tribuna), the Serie A champions have been scouting the Nigerian shot-stopper this campaign. He’s been in Friuli since 2023 after spending time at Sparta Rotterdam and Watford and has kept 21 clean sheets and allowed 115 goals in 86 games. He’s worth around €20M as well.
The Nerazzurri passed on bringing Aleksandar Stankovic back in the summer of 2025, Tuttomercatoweb reports. However, they maintained the inside track to acquire him through a 50 percent sell-on clause. They’d pay half the price if they targeted him. He’s coming off his best performance yet, intercepting a Kevin De Bruyne PK in the Napoli clash.
