Inter are contemplating fortifying their attack, but it won’t necessarily happen in January, unless a tasty opportunity falls into their lap. The Nerazzurri are more focused on the long term, Tuttomercatoweb reports.

They and Juventus are very keen on Samuele Inacio, but he’s unlikely to leave Borussia Dortmund before he fully blooms and his price tag balloons. He has made just four senior-team appearances this season.

Inter are also tracking Paul Mendy, who recently renewed his Cagliari contract, and Jay Robinson, who’s on loan from Southampton to Monza.

As for January, Federico Chiesa could be an option if he ever decides the time has come for him to leave Liverpool. He has featured just once this campaign due to recurring physical problems. He’s been available for only three contests. Despite the constant chatter linking him to a Serie A return, he’s been reluctant to flee Anfield.

Instead, Giacomo Raspadori could be easier to sign, as he’s not a fixture under Maurizio Sarri. He’s duplicative with Charles De Ketelaere and didn’t pan out on the wings, where he’s been lapped by Jonathan Rowe, Elijf Elmas, and Nicola Zalewski. He too has missed time due to injury, notching two goals and one assist in seven outings. Atalanta paid €22M to acquire him from Atletico Madrid last January.

Our Take on the Inter Front-Line

Chances are they’ll do something only if one of their four options gets hurt. They should go young eventually. Luring Chiesa would be interesting because of his versatility, but he has a very high salary. It’s been a minute since he’s been an impact player. Raspadori has had success as a super sub, but there’s a reason teams keep passing him around.
