Agreement reached on a contract extension for the American until 2031.

Christian Pulisic remains a key asset for AC Milan. The American forward, once again a key figure under Ruben Amorim, had been in talks for some time with the ownership led by Gerry Cardinale over a new contract. A breakthrough came this morning, and the new agreement is set to be ratified soon.

How will the new figures and agreements affect his impact on the balance sheet?

The current agreement and the current impact

Pulisic's AC Milan contract expires on 30 June 2027, and his €4 million net salary still benefits from the Growth Decree.

With an amortisation charge of €5.2 million and a gross salary of €5.3 million, AC Milan's accounts show an annual cost of €10.5 million for the American.

The contract renewal

Today, Pulisic and Milan have agreed a new contract running until 30 June 2031, with a substantial pay rise.

His salary will rise to €5 million net per season, excluding bonuses. With the tax benefits of the Growth Decree retained, that equates to €6.5 million gross.

New impact on the balance sheet this season

For the 2026/2027 season, Calcio e Finanza reports approximately €2.6 million in amortisation and around €2.65 million in gross salary up to 31 December 2026. The second part of the season will account for a new portion of €600,000 in amortisation and €3.25 million gross.

Pulisic will cost Milan €9.1 million on the books for 2026/2027, a saving of €1.4 million compared with the €10.5 million under the old agreement last season.

The impact until 2031

The figures will fall further from the 2027/2028 season onwards, affecting the accounts for the years ending 30 June 2028, 2029, 2030 and 2031, when the new agreement expires.

Each year, Pulisic will account for €6.5 million in gross wages (€5 million net plus the Growth Decree) and an amortisation charge of €0.6 million.

That brings his annual cost to €7.1 million, €3.4 million less than under his current contract.
