GdS: Moreira, Modric, Pulisic, Rabiot – Amorim’s expected choices vs. Lecce
Yet more changes in personnel are expected from Ruben Amorim when AC Milan take on Lecce in their final game before the break.
As La Gazzetta dello Sport write, Milan returned to work immediately at Milanello yesterday. Those who started in the Europa League defeat Benfica underwent lighter work, but starting today Amorim will start gearing everyone up for Sunday evening at San Siro.
Luka Modric is expected to return to the starting line-up, partnered in midfield by either Ardon Jashari or Yunus Musah. Mario Gila will return in defence, completing the trio with Koni De Winter and Strahinja Pavlovic.
There are some additional doubts on the flanks. Diego Moreira is likely to start from minute one, having missed two training sessions against Benfica due to personal reasons, as Amorim explained to the media.
The Belgian should play on the left, with either Samuel Chukwueze or Alexis Saelemaekers on the right. However it cannot be ruled out that Moreira plays on the other flank with Pervis Estupinan on the left side.
Adrien Rabiot could start as an attacking midfielder alongside Christian Pulisic, who is still waiting for his first start of the season. Up front, barring any sensational surprises, Gonçalo Ramos will lead the line and is eager to break his mini goal drought.
