It seems AC Milan will return to Adidas in the near future, but Puma will look to send them off with a throwback kit…

In recent weeks, the talk of Milan’s kit has been dominated by the future under Adidas. For many, the two should have never separated, with the two being synonymous with each other. Nevertheless, they will reunite for the 2029-2030 season, it seems.

Before then, though, Puma will release one final set of kits for the 2027-28 campaign and the first leaks are starting to filter through.

The 2027-28 away kit suggestion

As always, the insight comes from FootyHeadlines, who report that the 2027-28 shirt will ‘pay homage to probably the most iconic away kit design of the team’s history’. Indeed, inspiration will be taken from the 1980s and 1990s shirts: a white shirt with a red and black horizontal stripe.

The kit will boast a ‘nostalgic aesthetic’, marking the final away shirt of the Puma era and the expectation is that it will be officially released in some time in July or August next year – so not too long of a wait.

As always, the designs are not final and the mock-up (seen below) could change. However, the design seems to have been decided on.
