Ferencvaros star Yusuf lays down marker ahead of Milan game: “No team will underestimate us”

Ferencvaros striker Bamidele Yusuf believes that AC Milan will not underestimate them given their form going into Thursday’s game.

Milan welcome the Hungarian giants for their fourth Europa League fixture of the campaign so far, in need of a win having lost two our of their first three against Benfica and most recently AFC Bournemouth.

They face a side that are third in their league (but would go top if they win their game in hand) and have won three out of three in the Europa League, putting them at the summit of the table one game before the halfway point.

Bamidele Yusuf spoke after Ferencvaros’ recent victory against Paksi and he commented on the big upcoming game at San Siro on Thursday night, with his words relayed by MilanPress.

“These are three very important points for us. We wanted to win, it was a very difficult match because they were prepared, but in the end we got the three points and we played very well. I’m very happy.

“I said when I arrived that I wanted to score a lot. I’m grateful, I’m trying to help the team. This is what I do, it’s my job.

“The Milan game? No team will underestimate us because we won the Europa League openers. I think it will be a fantastic match, I can’t wait to play.”
