Contract renewal: here’s what Calhanoglu wants from Inter. Baccin will speak to the owners

The Turkish midfielder’s contract expires in June 2027.

Among the Inter players with contracts expiring or nearing expiry is Hakan Calhanoglu. The midfielder, born in 1994, is under contract until 30 June 2027.

Calhanoglu's current contract does not give Inter the option to extend it by another year. It therefore expires at the end of the season, and he could sign for another team from February.

In recent weeks, rumours have linked the Turkish midfielder with Juventus and Como, as well as a possible return to Turkey.

Calhanoglu asks for two years

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Calhanoglu wants to stay and has told his agents as much. The former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen player wants a two-year contract, which now forms the basis of talks. Inter's new sporting director, Dario Baccin, has already discussed the request and will speak to the owners about it. Inter will then, Di Marzio adds, try to put a contract offer to the Turkish player and his agent to see whether the length and wages are acceptable.
