AC Milan are hoping to secure a renewal for Alphadjo Cisse in the near future, after his dazzling start to the season.

The hopes were that Cisse would shine when given opportunities by Milan, but he’s surpassing that. He’s shining as a starter in Europe and creating real questions about his role within the team. At just 19 years old, he’s leading the team for goals already and there have already been talks of a new contract.

A new contract for Cisse

Now, Calciomercato.com has added to these suggestions of an early renewal, stating that the club hopes to add another year to his current deal with the option of having another year. Of course, a salary increase will be included, too.

The current idea would be to double his current €700-800k wage to a figure of €1.2-1.3 million plus bonuses. Then, next season it would rise to €1.5m, but the increases would not stop there.

Indeed, the Rossoneri plan to incrementally increase his wage, in accordance to his predicted rise. So, he would eventually reach €2.5m per year, then €3m, but there are no suggestions as to whether these are yearly increases or achievement-based.

It’s part of a new strategy employed by the Diavolo, focusing on the young players available to them, with an Italian core. There are no plans to stall either, and he could sign a new deal in the next few weeks.
