CM: Cardinale to meet Amorim – what he will ask for from the Milan coach

The day after the defeat against Benfica was decidedly bitter for AC Milan, and it brought news of Gerry Cardinale’s arrival.

That said, the RedBird Capital chief wants to win by playing attacking football, with a style that aims to dominate the opposition. Amorim must be given time to get to know Italian football and his squad, but recent outings have disappointed the owner.

He hasn’t seen a clear identity from the team, and this aspect will be analysed further in their face-to-face meeting before the Lecce game, which is the final one before a three-week international break.

A final, no less important point is the development of the players who arrived in the summer for a total investment of €150m. Cardinale wants Goncalo Ramos’ goals, but also Diego Moreira from the start, plus Mario Gila.
