AC Milan have had plenty of young stars come and go; Alessandro Bonomi is not exactly like them, but there are similarities.

Over the past year, Bonomi has been forced to watch on from the sidelines after suffering a nasty injury: a cruciate ligament injury, something which can and did halt his career.

However, he never gave up and worked hard to return to the pitch, ready to step into the mix of the Futuro team. Before his injury, he’d starred for the Primavera side with regular goals and assists and this has now restarted.

Against Chievo, he came off the bench in the 72nd minute and got a goal on his return, acting the quickest, proving that, despite his time off the pitch, he was still as sharp as he was before.

Milan always believed

As Calciomercato.com writes, the Rossoneri have never lost faith in the young talent, even renewing his contract in May this year, proving that they had a lot of belief in him. He’s been with the club since he was nine years old, so they were not going to give up on someone who had shown up for them consistently.

His instant return to the Futuro also says a lot; even with a new coach, he remains a key player.
