Champions League line-ups: Feyenoord vs. Inter

Inter badly need to revive their Champions League fortunes with a difficult trip to Feyenoord, as Francesco Pio Esposito, Federico Dimarco and Djed Spence start.

It kicks off at the Stadion De Kuip in Rotterdam at 20.00 GMT (21.00 CET).

The mood in the Nerazzurri camp is dismal after losing the Derby della Madonnina 3-1 to Milan at the weekend, their first Serie A defeat of the season which knocked them three points off leaders Lazio.

Their Champions League form had already been raising eyebrows, losing the first two fixtures to Real Madrid and Club Brugge, then scraping a 1-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk when down to 10 men.

Alessandro Bastoni was sent off in that game and is therefore suspended here, with Lautaro Martinez, Curtis Jones, Luis Henrique and John Stones still injured.

Choices were very limited in the derby because of a flu bug sweeping through the squad, but Pio Esposito has recovered and is able to start with Marcus Thuram.

Dimarco and Piotr Zielinski also return to the starting XI, while Benjamin Pavard is at least an option off the bench now.

Spence keeps the right wing-back role, with Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolò Barella in midfield.

Feyenoord have already beaten Como here in the Champions League, confirming they are a very different side on home turf.

They have quite a few injuries to deal with this evening, missing Jakub Moder, Bart Nieuwkoop, Gijs Smal, Jeremiah St. Juste, Thomas Beelen and Jordan Bos.

Anis Hadj Moussa was very impressive in the game against Como, and is certainly one to watch attacking Dimarco down that flank.

These teams faced off in the Champions League Round of 16 last season, Inter winning 2-0 away and 2-1 at San Siro.
