AC Milan are once again being linked with a move for Vangelis Pavlidis, who is in fantastic scoring form for Benfica.

Milan made a big splash in the summer window when they broke their club-record transfer fee to sign Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain. However, they continue to be linked with reinforcements in attack like Real Madrid’s Endrick, and a familiar name has now resurfaced.

Race heats up for Pavlidis

CaughtOffside report that Vangelis Pavlidis is turning heads around Europe after scoring 14 times in his first 13 appearances for Benfica in all competitions this season. Top Premier League clubs are monitoring things, while Aston Villa and Fulham are ‘long-time admirers’.

Barcelona, AC Milan and Juventus are mentioned as being suitors for the 27-year-old too, who scored 30 goals across all competitions last season, and 30 the season prior as well. A deal in the January window seems unrealistic at present for a player that Milan were linked with in 2024.

Benfica – who Milan have already faced in the Europa League – secured Pavlidis with a €100m release clause. The Portuguese giants are expected to point to that in the winter, so negotiating the fee might only be possible in summer 2027.

The report adds that Pavlidis ‘would likely be keen on a move to a Champions League club that can offer him a key role and regular playing time’, so Milan might have to secure a top-four finish for a swoop to be realistic.
