Castillejo predicts Musah and Ramos to score in Milan-Inter: “A 2-1 win”
Samu Castillejo, the former Milan player, has provided his prediction for tonight’s Derby della Madonnina against Inter.
Castillejo recently announced his retirement from professional football and it was news that certainly reached the Milan world. Spending four years at the club, including winning the Scudetto in 2021-22, he’s a player that most fans remember fondly.
He featured in four derbies against Inter and also faced the Nerazzurri during his spell at Sassuolo, so he knows what it’s like to face them. Speaking to Sky Italia, as transcribed by MilanPress, he shared his thoughts on tonight’s edition of the Derby della Madonnina.
On the derby…
“The derby is always a special match. You don’t care about the standings or the points, you only think about the match and you can’t wait to play. It’s a match you start to feel from the first few days of the week.
“We have seen many derbies where Milan were in better form and then didn’t win, and vice versa. It’s never easy to play; the atmosphere matters a lot.”
His prediction…
“Obviously, I hope Milan win. I’m predicting a 2-1 win with a goal from Goncalo Ramos. He hasn’t started well, but he’s a very strong striker. Then I’d say my friend Musah, whom I played with at Valencia,” he concluded.
It’s perhaps a little bit of a rogue prediction when you consider that Goncalo Ramos hasn’t scored in the league since the end of August. Yunus Musah is also yet to get off the mark this season, so it would be quite something if they were to decide the derby tonight.
