Ruben Amorim insists he is ‘not thinking about Inter’ despite Milan changes against Bologna this evening, but he has big demands of Alphadjo Cisse.

It kicks off at San Siro at 17.30 GMT (18.30 CET).

This is the first midweek round of the season and inevitably it prompts some squad rotation from all the coaches, although some have more opportunities than others.

Considering the Derby della Madonnina against Inter is coming up on Saturday, has that influenced the decisions when hosting Bologna?

Amorim focus on Milan-Bologna

“For me, this is the most important game we have in the season, it’s the next one, it is three points and a tough opponent, so I am not thinking about Inter,” Amorim told DAZN Italia.

“First of all, we don’t know which players we are going to have available, we have this game to play, so I am focused on this game.”

It is safe to say that choices are limited right now, seeing as Milan are missing Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Adrien Rabiot, Diego Moreira, Samuel Chukwueze, Mario Gila, Matteo Gabbia, Alexis Saelemaekers and Pietro Terracciano.

With this in mind, Cisse is starting in a sort of trequartista role behind striker Goncalo Ramos, flanked by Omari Hutchinson and Davide Bartesaghi, so what does Amorim want from the youngster?

“I want the talent of Cisse, his joy, his quality in tight spaces, I want him to follow the centre-back to the end, I want everything from Cisse.”
