AC Milan rest Modric against Bologna: here’s who will play in midfield

Milan, Amorim wants Modric at 100% for Saturday’s derby against Inter: the Croatian midfielder will rest against Bologna

Luka Modric has provided more assists after turning 40 than any other player since Serie A returned to 20 teams in the 2004/05 season, according to OptaPaolo.

With 4 assists, he has surpassed another former AC Milan great: Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who finished with 3. Modric remains an important and decisive presence for Ruben Amorim's team.

Rests against Bologna

Amorim wants the quality only Croatian legend Modric's feet can provide. To preserve the former Real Madrid player's creative spark for the derby, the Portuguese manager is considering pairing Jashari and Musah in midfield against Bologna tomorrow. The match kicks off at San Siro at 18:30.
