AC Milan-Ferencvaros, CM’s player ratings: De Winter disastrous, Ramos nervous and toothless. Jashari poor too
Milan v Ferencvaros: ratings and player assessments for the Europa League fourth matchday
AC Milan's Europa League campaign is in jeopardy after a home defeat to Ferencvaros. Amorim's men have now lost three of their last four matches and lacked the right motivation from the start. Here are the ratings and player assessments:
AC Milan player ratings
Torriani 5: A couple of first-half saves keep the scoreline intact, but his error leads to Ferencvaros' goal and costs him a mark.
Terracciano 4.5: Back in the starting line-up at right-back, he fails to impress. One cross misses its target by metres, and San Siro responds with whistles.
De Winter 4.5: For the Belgian defender, it is one step forward and two back. He needs to find consistency. He gifts Ferencvaros their first goal, with Torriani also involved, and bears considerable responsibility for the Hungarians' second. Absent-minded.
Diawara 6: Amorim deploys him in his natural position of centre-back for the first time this season, and he builds play with assurance in the first half-hour. As Ferencvaros increase their attacking pressure, he makes a few mistakes towards the end of the first half. (From the 46th minute, Gila 5.5: He loses several duels early on. The counter-attack that brings the Hungarians' second goal catches him out. He gives everything in attack towards the end, but it is not enough)
Bartestaghi 5: A timid display. He does only the bare minimum early on and offers little going forward even when Milan fall behind. Ineffective. (From the 68th minute, Camarda 5.5: He tries towards the end but cannot find the decisive finish)
Hutchinson 6: His limited range of skills makes him predictable at times, but he keeps pushing forward and does not give up until the end.
Musah 5: A poor display from the American midfielder, who looks almost unmotivated. In the fourth minute, he loses the ball in a dangerous area and sends Joseph through on goal. Amorim senses it is not his night and takes him off at half-time. (From the 46th minute, Moreira 6: One of the few to cause the visiting defence any problems)
Jashari 5: The former Bruges player is slow-paced, decidedly so. He never gets into the game, loses his bearings and misplaces too many simple passes in his own half. Anonymous. (From the 63rd minute, Modric 5.5: He tries to organise play but is far less precise than usual)
Cisse 5: Mancini's first call-up to the senior national team gives him cause to celebrate, but this is not the performance he would have wanted. The visitors often double-mark him, leaving him little space to play his football. He wastes a golden opportunity, firing over from the centre of the penalty area. (From the 46th minute, Pulisic 5: He does not spark into life as he did in the derby)
Rabiot 5: Despite wearing the captain's armband in Maignan's absence, he looks unmotivated and is rarely involved.
Gonçalo Ramos 5: A sharp decline for the Portuguese forward. He commits several fouls, looks agitated and never manages a dangerous shot on goal. Unrecognisable.
Manager Amorim 5: He warned the team beforehand to stop thinking about their derby win, but they did not listen. The Portuguese manager is left with an embarrassing performance and result.
Ferencvaros player ratings
Dibusz 6.5: Pulls off a superb save from Htuchinson, stays alert throughout and enjoys a night to remember.
Osvath 7: Milan never find a way through down his flank.
Gomez 7: Wins a bruising physical battle with Ramos, keeping him quiet.
Raemaekers 6.5: Precise and switched on from the first minute to the last.
Cadu 7: Covers the pitch, poses a constant threat and excels one-on-one.
Bero 6.5: Provides a solid shield in front of the defence. (From the 67th minute, Madarasz 6: Does his job without making any mistakes)
A. Nagy 6.5: Brings vast experience to the team.
Corbu 6.5: Composed and tactically astute, he exploits the space left by Jashari and Musah.
Zachariassen 7: Never stops running. Only a superb save by Torriani denies him a deserved goal.
Joseph 7.5: The man of the match scores a superb brace at the Scala del Calcio. (From the 67th minute, Dele 4: The only negative: he comes on, elbows Gila and earns a straight red card)
Birmancevic 6: Shows flashes of brilliance.
Manager. Borbely 7.5: Gets his preparation for the match spot on.
