AC Milan, Camarda heading for a loan move in January: the doubts and possible destination for the young talent

Cardinale and Amorim's faith in Camarda has not wavered: the AC Milan owner was one of the driving forces behind last summer's contract extension until 2031, with an option for another season. There is strong belief that the player born in 2008 can become increasingly important to the club in the years ahead. But the wonderkid underwent shoulder surgery that caused him to miss the second half of last season, and he needs opportunities to play.

Heading towards a loan move

Amorim believes in Camarda, but has given him only four league appearances totalling 36 minutes. He also started him against Salzburg in the Europa League, substituting him in the 60th minute of his only appearance in the competition. Camarda needs to play, but his current physical condition and Ramos's presence make that almost impossible at AC Milan. A winter loan move has gained considerable momentum in recent hours. Amorim is taking a small step back and could give the move the go-ahead, provided Milan retain ownership of his playing rights.

Where can he go?

The priority is to ensure the transfer market alone does not determine Camarda's future. He needs minutes, consistency, responsibility and the chance to make mistakes. For such a young striker, those factors could mean the difference between steady development and a season spent waiting for sporadic opportunities.

If the youngster's playing time remains limited, Milan are reportedly considering another temporary move. Of the options, Serie B looks the most concrete and could give Camarda more chances to play regularly. Francesco came close to joining Samdporia last summer, and the interest remains genuine. Pisa, Benevento and Empoli are also interested. It remains to be seen what the youngster will choose, with both the club and his entourage weighing the decision with a view to Serie A.
