Watch: Chris Sutton believes Celtic are more vulnerable than ever in title race

Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton believes the Hoops are as vulnerable as they have ever been in the Scottish Premiership title race, with Rangers expected to mount a serious challenge under Derek McInnes.

Martin O’Neill’s side have endured an inconsistent campaign despite remaining in contention at the top of the table, with questions continuing to surround their performances.

Sutton also expressed doubts over Hearts’ ability to sustain another title challenge, suggesting the Tynecastle outfit are weaker than the side that pushed Celtic all the way last season.

Speaking on Sky Sports Scotland ahead of Wednesday night’s Premiership fixtures, the former Hoops striker said: “I’m still not sure that Hearts can challenge this season. I don’t think this is a better Hearts team than the one last season. I think they had better players last season.”

“But I think that this season Celtic are as vulnerable as they have ever been.”
