Martin O’Neill’s side travel to the Falkirk Stadium for a 1pm kick-off on November 1, looking to return to winning ways following Wednesday’s 2-2 draw with Dundee United at Parkhead.

Nicolson will be assisted by Frank Connor and Daniel McFarlane, with Daniel Graves taking on fourth official duties and Duncan Williams appointed assistant VAR.

The referee is a familiar face to Celtic, having already taken charge of their 3-0 Premiership victory over Aberdeen at Parkhead on September 2, when he issued just two yellow cards.

Nicolson also officiated three Celtic league fixtures during the 2025/26 campaign, with the Hoops emerging victorious on each occasion.

His first appointment came in December’s 1-0 home victory over Dundee before he oversaw a dramatic 3-2 win against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park in February.

He then returned to Celtic Park in April as O’Neill’s side secured another narrow 1-0 victory, this time against St Mirren.

The official has also taken charge at the Falkirk Stadium this season, overseeing the Bairns’ 2-0 home defeat to St Mirren earlier in the campaign.
