Stephen Robinson starts his tenure at Aberdeen with a visit from an impressive Falkirk side.
  • Aberdeen have won only one of their past 13 league games

  • Motherwell have lost only two of their last 10 away league matches

  • Hibernian unbeaten in 20 home league matches against non‑Old Firm sides

Hearts remain firmly in control at the top of the Scottish Premiership and can take another step toward the championship on Saturday when they travel to Kilmarnock.

That late kick-off follows a mouth-watering match in Glasgow as Celtic bid to close the gap at home to Motherwell.

The Dundee derby is the highlight of Sunday's card, which also features Rangers' trip to managerless St Mirren.

Aberdeen vs Falkirk (3pm, Saturday)

It will take something drastic to knock Falkirk out of a historic top-six finish after they maintained their nine-point lead over Dundee United with a thumping 5-1 win at Kilmarnock last weekend.

Aberdeen, who appointed Stephen Robinson as their new head coach this week, are in need of drastic change after a run of only one win in their last 13 games.

Last Saturday's humiliating 1-0 cup defeat to Championship side Dunfermline outlines the size of former St Mirren boss Robinson's task and he seems unlikely to turn the Dons around in a matter of days.

Score prediction: Aberdeen 0-2 Falkirk

Celtic vs Motherwell (3pm, Saturday)

Celtic have failed to win three of their last four home matches inside 90 minutes and look uneasy favourites against a confident, well‑organised Motherwell side.

Their last meeting at Parkhead ended in frustration for the Steelmen, with a loose defensive pass gifting the Bhoys a late route back into a game they stole in stoppage time.

Since then, the Steelmen have beaten the Hoops 2-0 at Fir Park and continue to impress on the road, losing only twice in their last 10 Premiership away fixtures.

With that resilience and growing belief, they look well-equipped to avoid defeat in Glasgow's East End.

Score prediction: Celtic 2-2 Motherwell

Hibernian vs Livingston (3pm, Saturday)

A visit from bottom‑placed Livingston offers a Hibs a valuable chance to strengthen their bid for Europe.

Although they are unbeaten in 20 home league matches against non‑Old Firm sides, David Gray's side will be wary of Livi, who have drawn three straight against Dundee, Rangers and St Mirren.

Croatian striker Ante Suto, who has scored in both of his home league appearances, adds another threat for Hibs.

This should be competitive, but the hosts look well placed to take the points.

Score prediction: Hibernian 2-0 Livingston

Kilmarnock vs Hearts (8pm, Saturday)

Kilmarnock have lost their last five home games against top‑eight opposition and remain deep in trouble after Saturday's 5-1 defeat at Falkirk extended their winless run to three.

Hearts, meanwhile, have won four of their last seven away Premiership games and four of their last six visits to Rugby Park.

With momentum restored after back‑to‑back wins, the league leaders have the quality and composure to edge a tight encounter.

Score prediction: Kilmarnock 1-2 Hearts

St Mirren vs Rangers (12pm, Sunday)

Rangers will be hurting after their Old Firm defeat at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup and Danny Rohl's men should capitalise on the uncertain times at St Mirren by taking all three points.

The Buddies sit 10th in the table, three points above the relegation play-off spot with one league win in 13.

They have no permanent manager in place following the exit of Robinson and injuries are accumulating.

Score prediction: St Mirren 1-2 Rangers

Dundee vs Dundee United (2pm, Sunday)

Recent form suggests another tense, hard‑fought derby at Dens Park.

Dundee have struggled for consistency but remain competitive at home, while United's away form has faltered badly, with four defeats in their last five Premiership road games.

The Dark Blues edged the last meeting between these two sides and, with the Terrors still vulnerable defensively, the hosts may have the slight upper hand again.

Score prediction: Dundee 2-1 Dundee United
