Hearts are unbeaten in their last 16 Scottish Premiership matches
Rangers have won 13 of their last 14 at home to Livingston
Kilmarnock are on a five-game losing streak
Celtic will be looking to cut Hearts' lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to four points by beating St Mirren 24 hours before Derek McInnes' pace-setters are in action at Aberdeen.
Here are our score predictions for all six matches taking place in Scotland’s top flight this weekend.
Dundee United vs Falkirk (Saturday, 3pm)
Falkirk drew 2-2 against Dundee United in their first game after promotion in August and have impressed ever since.
They have won three of their last five, sit in the top six, and the only teams they have failed to net against are Hearts and Celtic.
Dundee United's form is more mixed, although they did sign off for the international break with a 1-1 draw at Hearts.
Score prediction: Dundee United 1-1 Falkirk
Hibernian vs Dundee (Saturday, 3pm)
It is astonishing to think that Dundee's only win over the past two months was 2-0 against Celtic, which at least shows what they are capable of.
They have, however, lost the other five of their last six and are struggling, especially away where they have yet to win.
Hibs are consistent enough to get the job done on their own patch.
Score prediction: Hibernian 2-0 Dundee
Kilmarnock vs Motherwell (Saturday, 3pm)
Kilmarnock have lost five in a row, though that is a sequence featuring games against Hearts, Celtic and a revitalised Rangers.
The international break offers them a chance of a reset and Motherwell are hardly on a roll with three wins and too many draws. The stalemate — they have already drawn 2-2 this season at Fir Park — looks plausible.
Score prediction: Kilmarnock 2-2 Motherwell
Rangers vs Livingston (Saturday, 3pm)
Rangers have won three in a row in the Premiership under new boss Danny Rohl, which is a stark contrast to their Europa League form which is horrible.
On Thursday night they will hope to avoid a fifth straight defeat in that competition at home to Braga, but before then they will be looking for a confidence lift at home to Livingston.
Given Livingston have not won since the second week of August and that the Gers have triumphed in 13 of their last 14 showdowns with Livi at home, this should be routine, even for the stuttering Light Blues.
Score prediction: Rangers 2-0 Livingston
St Mirren vs Celtic (Saturday, 8pm)
Celtic were fortunate to beat St Mirren 1-0 on the opening weekend and are still dreadfully inconsistent, even under the new management of Martin O'Neill.
The Buddies have also gone off the boil, perhaps getting preoccupied with a League Cup run, though it has paid off seeing as they have reached the final.
Now it is back to league matters and while they should be as dogged as ever, Celtic's pressure will likely eventually pay off.
Score prediction: St Mirren 0-2 Celtic
Aberdeen vs Hearts (Sunday, 3pm)
Six weeks ago Hearts would have expected to roll over the Aberdeen at Pittodrie but Jimmy Thelin has belatedly got a tune out of his men after a sluggish start.
Hearts continue to not lose games but they are starting to draw a few and this could easily turn into a frustrating afternoon.
Score prediction: Aberdeen 1-1 Hearts
