  • Hearts can move seven points clear if they win at Dundee United

  • Rangers face a tricky trip to Hibernian on Sunday

  • In-form Motherwell travel to face bottom club Livingston

The most exciting Scottish title race in four decades continues to gather momentum and Hearts have a chance to open up a seven-point gap on the chasers as they head to Dundee United on Saturday.

Rangers and Celtic are both in Sunday action, the Light Blues heading for Edinburgh to face Hibs while Celtic tackle Falkirk in Glasgow.

Elsewhere, Motherwell travel to basement club Livingston, Kilmarnock entertain Aberdeen and Dundee travel to Paisley to face St Mirren.

We have score predictions for all six games in the Scottish Premiership this weekend.

Kilmarnock vs Aberdeen (Saturday, 3pm)

Killie have not won a game since October 4, a run of 17 contests in league and cup. Worse still, the Ayrshire side are enduring a crisis of discipline, with four red cards in four games since the turn of the year.

Aberdeen hit Livingston for six last weekend – a contest in which both ended with 10 players – and the Dons have won five of their last six meetings with Kilmarnock.

Score prediction: Kilmarnock 0-2 Aberdeen

Livingston vs Motherwell (Saturday, 3pm)

Livingston boss David Martindale has not witnessed a win in any of their last 21 league games and they are rooted to the bottom of the table.

Under Jens Berthel Askou, Motherwell are arguably playing the best football in Scotland and they look to be well placed to record a seventh successive win over Livi in all competitions.

Score predictions: Livingston 0-3 Motherwell

St Mirren vs Dundee (Saturday, 3pm)

League Cup winners St Mirren have scored just 17 league goals in 22 games so far, a worry for Stephen Robinson.

The Buddies welcome the second-lowest scorers in the division now as Steven Pressley's Dundee (19) come to Paisley aiming to avoid a third straight league reverse.

Score prediction: St Mirren 0-0 Dundee

Dundee United vs Hearts (Saturday, 8pm)

The big games keep coming for Hearts and the Jambos fans are loving it. Derek McInnes's side showed their guts last weekend, twice coming from behind to draw 2-2 at home against Celtic.

The injuries and suspensions are causing worries for the league leaders but Tannadice has been a good hunting ground, with Hearts unbeaten in six visits. The home side have won just one of their last six league games here.

Score predictions: Dundee United 1-3 Hearts

Hibernian vs Rangers (Sunday, 2pm)

Rangers have won their last three games against Hibs without conceding. There was sunshine on Leith after an Edinburgh derby win at Christmas but David Gray's side went out of the Scottish Cup at Championship side Dunfermline before shipping four at Falkirk last weekend.

Rangers are much more resilient under Danny Rohl and they can grind out a win in the capital.

Score prediction: Hibernian 0-2 Rangers

Celtic vs Falkirk (Sunday, 3pm)

With the transfer window closing and pressure on to find new signings, Martin O'Neill will not want any messing around here.

The Hoops have scored 16 goals in their previous four home tussles with Falkirk and Celtic have not conceded a home league goal in four games under O'Neill this season.

Score prediction: Celtic 3-0 Falkirk
