Martin O'Neill's Celtic are firmly in the Scottish Premiership title hunt
  • Hearts have a one-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership

  • Rangers and Celtic are both in striking distance of the Jam Tarts

  • Livingston are cut adrift at the bottom

This weekend brings with it the final round of Scottish Premiership matches before the league splits and there is still plenty to play for in the title race.

Hearts sit top of the standings, one point ahead of second-placed Rangers and a further two clear of Celtic in third, with the battle for top-flight glory set to go right down to the wire.

With five matches on Saturday and one on Sunday, we have picked out a score prediction for each contest.

Aberdeen vs Hibernian (Saturday, 3pm)

Aberdeen, who will be in the bottom six when the league splits, are without a win in eight matches and they could be in for more disappointment when they welcome Hibernian to Pittodrie Stadium.

Hibs defeated Kilmarnock 3-0 last weekend to extend their unbeaten streak to six games and they have tasted success in four of the last five meetings against the Dons.

Score prediction: Aberdeen 0-2 Hibernian

Celtic vs St Mirren (Saturday, 3pm)

Celtic snatched a late 2-1 victory over Dundee on Sunday to keep themselves within striking distance of leaders Hearts and the Bhoys will be confident of beating visiting St. Mirren, who are 10th in the table and have not won at Parkhead since 2021.

Martin O'Neill's side have won four of their last five home fixtures in the league and they can gain a mental edge over the Buddies ahead of their Scottish Cup semi-final the following weekend.

Score prediction: Celtic 3-0 St Mirren

Dundee United vs Livingston (Saturday, 3pm)

Rock-bottom Livingston's time in the Scottish Premiership is close to coming to an end and another nail can be hammered into their coffin when they travel to Dundee United, who are unbeaten at home in five games and are eyeing a third-successive victory at Tannadice Park.

Score prediction: Dundee United 2-0 Livingston

Hearts vs Motherwell (Saturday, 3pm)

Hearts are just managing to stay ahead at the summit and a return to Tynecastle, which has been a fortress for them, could bring about another precious three points against Motherwell.

The Jam Tarts are yet to taste defeat at home and have recorded four-consecutive 1-0 victories at their Edinburgh base. That strong record is enough to defeat the Steelmen, who have lost their last two away contests in the league.

Score prediction: Hearts 1-0 Motherwell

Kilmarnock vs Dundee (Saturday, 3pm)

Kilmarnock are fighting for their top-flight status and they can pick up a crucial victory when welcoming a Dundee side without a win in three matches to Rugby Park.

Killie have won four of their last five home fixtures, with a narrow 3-2 loss to title-chasing Celtic the only blemish during that period.

Score prediction: Kilmarnock 3-1 Dundee

Falkirk vs Rangers (Sunday, noon)

Rangers have hit their stride with three victories in a row and they can extend that record to four when they head to Falkirk on Sunday.

The Gers are unbeaten in their last six away games in the league and they can ensure they stay within striking distance of leaders Hearts at the end of this weekend.

Score prediction: Falkirk 1-3 Rangers
