Hearts have already beaten Rangers home and away in the league this season
Celtic travel to face Kilmarnock on Sunday.
Motherwell entertain out of sorts Aberdeen at Fir Park
There’s a key game in the race for the Scottish Premiership title race as Rangers host Hearts at Ibrox on Sunday.
The Gers can cut the gap on the league leaders to just two points if they can down the Jambos on home turf, but Derek McInnes’ men will have eyes on an eight-point advantage.
Elsewhere, champions Celtic will hope to stay in touch when they head for Kilmarnock on Sunday, Motherwell host Aberdeen and Hibs and St Mirren meet at Easter Road.
Dundee vs Livingston (Saturday, 3pm)
It’s getting desperate for Livingston, who are seven-points adrift at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership table and a last-gasp 2-1 defeat to Celtic on Wednesday night won’t have improved the mood. Dundee have won five of their 11 league matches at Dens Park and should collect another victory.
Score prediction: Dundee 2-1 Livingston
Falkirk vs Dundee United (Saturday, 3pm)
Falkirk have lost only three of their 13 home league matches this season and John McGlynn steered his side to another Falkirk Stadium success when beating Dundee in midweek.
Dundee United have lost four in a row in the league, conceding 11 goals in that run, and Falkirk could be heading for a quick-fire double over the sides from City of Discovery.
Score prediction: Falkirk 2-1 Dundee United
Hibernian vs St Mirren (Saturday, 3pm)
Hibs suffered a last-gasp Edinburgh derby defeat at Tynecastle on Tuesday, but David Gray’s men can bounce back by beating St Mirren. The Buddies have won only one of their last nine Scottish top-flight games, and any side which concedes four goals against Kilmarnock, must have defensive issues.
Score prediction: Hibernian 2-0 St Mirren
Kilmarnock vs Celtic (Sunday, 2pm)
Celtic created enough chances not to need a late Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain goal to beat Livingston 2-1 on Wednesday, but there are still huge concerns about the champions ability to put the ball in the net.
Kilmarnock will be buoyed by their 4-3 midweek win over St Mirren and Killie could make life difficult for the Hoops at Rugby Park - where the Glasgow side have lost two of the last five.
Score prediction: Kilmanrock 1-1 Celtic
Motherwell vs Aberdeen (Sunday, 2.30pm)
Motherwell needed just a little more composure in the final third and the Steelmen would have beaten Rangers at Fir Park on Wednesday night. The Well had to settle for a 1-1 draw, but Jens Berthel Askou has built an impressive side.
The sun shined in Aberdeen for the first time since the 21st of January yesterday and it hasn’t been much brighter on the pitch. The Dons haven’t been in action since they were crushed 3-0 at Kilmarnock last month and another defeat could await for the Reds.
Score prediction: Motherwell 2-0 Aberdeen
Rangers vs Hearts (Sunday, 4.30pm)
Rangers lost 2-0 to Hearts at Ibrox and 2-1 at Tynecastle earlier this season and the Jambos can make it a hat-trick of victories over the Gers on Sunday.
The Jambos continue to push for the title and it’s pretty clear that Derek McInnes’ men are a superior side to the Light Blues.
Score prediction: Rangers 1-2 Hearts
