Danny Rohl's Rangers face a difficult trip to Motherwell this week
  • Hearts are unbeaten in the league at Tynecastle this season

  • Livingston have conceded 53 goals in 25 league games this term

  • Aberdeen have failed to score in five of their last six league games

The most fascinating title race in Scotland for decades is showing no sign of letting up and leaders Hearts will be desperate to get back on track after a surprise 1-0 loss at St Mirren last week.

Rangers can draw level with a win at Motherwell on Wednesday if the Jambos fall to another defeat against Hibs the night before, while Celtic are six points behind with a game in hand, as they prepare to entertain Livingston.

Hearts vs Hibernian (Tuesday, 8pm)

While Hearts are unbeaten at home in the league this season, they can ill-afford another slip-up against Edinburgh rivals Hibernian.

Both teams have scored in seven of the last nine meetings and Hibs have lost just one of their last eight, so they could get something at Tynecastle.

Score prediction: Hearts 1-1 Hibernian

Celtic vs Livingston (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Livi have conceded more than two goals a game in their 25 Scottish Premiership matches this season, which hardly bodes well for a visit to Celtic, where they lost 3-0 earlier in the season.

The Bhoys also scored four on a visit to Almondvale, so the home side can claim another straightforward success.

Score prediction: Celtic 3-0 Livingston

Dundee United vs Aberdeen (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Something has got to give at Tannadice as Dundee United have lost their last four league games and Aberdeen have failed to score in five of their last six.

United have had a tough run of fixtures against Celtic, Hearts and in-form Hibernian, so they could end their slump.

Score prediction: Dundee United 2-0 Aberdeen

Falkirk vs Dundee (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Falkirk have enjoyed a good campaign after promotion and look destined for a top-six finish, so they can build on their 4-1 victory over Hibs in their last home game against Dundee.

The visitors’ only away win of the season came at neighbours Dundee United and they have scored just five away goals all season.

Score prediction: Falkirk 2-0 Dundee

Kilmarnock vs St Mirren (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Kilmarnock won their last home game 3-0 against Aberdeen, but that has been their only win in their last 18 games and was followed by a 5-1 thumping at Rangers.

Visitors St Mirren look geared to build on last week’s win over leaders Hearts and take the points at Rugby Park.

Score prediction: Kilmarnock 0-2 St Mirren

Motherwell vs Rangers (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Two in-form teams clash at Fir Park as Motherwell, who have lost once since October 18, take on Rangers, who have dropped two points in their last eight games.

With confidence high in both camps, we could see a high-scoring draw.

Score prediction: Motherwell 2-2 Rangers
