Interim boss Martin O'Neill takes charge of Celtic for the final time on Wednesday
  • Hearts lead the Scottish Premiership but have failed to win their last three

  • Rangers are unbeaten in four in all competitions

  • Martin O'Neill's final game in interim charge of Celtic is against Dundee

There are five Scottish Premiership fixtures on Wednesday, with leaders Hearts looking to regain the winning thread at home to Kilmarnock.

It may also be an emotional night for Celtic with Martin O'Neill confirming he will step aside again after their match with Dundee, while Rangers look to continue their improvement under Danny Rohl at Dundee United.

Aberdeen vs St Mirren (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Jimmy Thelin looks to be getting things right again at Aberdeen and they extended their unbeaten run to six in all competitions by winning 1-0 at Livingston on Sunday.

They return to Pittodrie, where they beat leaders Hearts in their last home league game, to take on second-bottom St Mirren.

The Paisley outfit are without a Scottish Premiership win since September 29 and the hosts can add to their misery.

Score prediction: Aberdeen 3-1 St Mirren

Celtic vs Dundee (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Martin O'Neill was a surprise choice when Celtic named him to return to the club as interim boss on October 27.

The Northern Irishman has lost only one of his seven games in charge and steps down after his eighth against Dundee, with Wilfried Nancy set to take over at Parkhead permanently.

Previously an occasional captain at Celtic, Steven Pressley brings his Dundee team to Glasgow on the back of a 3-1 win over St Mirren.

That result ended a four-game losing run but the Bhoys, who won 2-1 at Hibs on Sunday, should have no problems against The Dee.

Score prediction: Celtic 3-1 Dundee

Dundee United vs Rangers (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Dundee United are winless in four and could be about to bump into Rangers at the wrong time.

The Gers have avoided defeat in their last four and have not lost any of their last 11 games against the Tangerines.

Wednesday's hosts look a way off the side that finished fourth last term and with under 2.5 goals being scored in six of their last nine games, and five of Rangers' last seven, Danny Rohl's side can grab a narrow victory.

Score prediction: Dundee United 0-2 Rangers

Falkirk vs Motherwell (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Falkirk and Motherwell are both improving, heading into Wednesday's fixtures without a defeat in four.

The Bairns have had the edge over the Steelmen in recent times, winning the last two meetings.

Both have been one-goal victories, though, and they can also edge this contest in the Central Lowlands.

Score prediction: Falkirk 2-1 Motherwell

Hearts vs Kilmarnock (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

Leaders Hearts have failed to win their last three Scottish Premiership fixtures but have claimed 17 of a possible 21 points at home and can add three more to their tally on Wednesday.

Wednesday's visitors Kilmarnock suffered a 3-0 defeat against Hearts at Rugby Park on October 18.

That sparked the away side's ongoing run of seven matches without a victory and they look vulnerable again on the road.

Score prediction: Hearts 2-0 Kilmarnock
