Kasper Hogh’s Celtic reaction spotted after Martin O’Neill selection snub
The Danish forward was among those left on the bench as O’Neill reshuffled his attacking options following Thursday’s disappointing 4-1 Europa League defeat to Benfica.
Callum Osmand was handed his first professional start for Celtic and made an immediate impact, scoring twice as the Hoops raced into a commanding 5-1 lead before half-time.
However, despite losing his place in the team, Hogh’s reaction to his younger teammate’s success did not go unnoticed.
BBC Sportsound presenter Kenny MacIntyre revealed that the striker was among the first players to congratulate Osmand as the Celtic squad headed down the tunnel at the interval.
Speaking on BBC Sportsound, MacIntyre said: “Yeah, one thing I did like, because we spoke about Kasper, who had been dropped today, a big price tag and him a big reputation, how a player responds, I guess, is a big thing.
“I watched him; he was right at the heart of the tunnel at half-time congratulating Callum Osmond, big high-fives, big smiles. So you’d like to think he’s responded very, very well that he did come on in the second half.”
