Hoops can add to the ‘Broken Hearts’ misery at Celtic Park tomorrow
Fir Park was a statement win for Celtic last weekend, victory tomorrow against Hearts is even more important for the Scottish Champions…
Celtic eased the pressure on Martin O’Neill domestically speaking after a convincing 2-0 win at Fir Park last Sunday, as the hoops put the disappointment of three successive defeats behind them to move back to the top of the table after being temporarily dislodged the previous day.
Benfica defeat should be set aside
Thursday night’s loss against Benfica in Lisbon disrupted that feel good factor, but we can’t afford to dwell on that as we have a tough task ahead of us tomorrow afternoon when we host a Hearts side who are travelling to Celtic Park on the back of their own European fixture.
The result and the way in which we achieved it at Fir Park proved to be something of a statement to the rest of Scottish football, in particular our rivals who were smelling blood due to Celtic’s recent poor form.
So a win over the Jambos tomorrow would be even bigger than the win over Motherwell, with the Gorgie side once again holding serious title aspirations, and are clearly in the mood to make amends after being guilty of throwing away a terrific chance to be Champions last season.
They cried and they tried blaming everyone else
They cried and they tried blaming everyone else, Celtic, Rangers supporting match officials who were all suddenly desperate for Celtic to be Champions at their expense – anyone and everyone but themselves. Go back and check the away record since the start of the year – then look at the results Martin O’Neill came in after Wilfried Nancy spilled a dozen points.
Our Glasgow rivals the Rangers play later this evening, and are favourites to grab all three points, so once again we will could be playing catch up come 3pm on Sunday afternoon. It certainly didn’t bother Celtic last weekend in a tough away fixture in Motherwell.
The Rangers and their supporters will be looking on with great interest tomorrow afternoon, with a Hearts win being the more favourable outcome for the latest Ibrox side, whilst the Jambos will be looking for a win to thrust them firmly into contention for the title.
A Celtic win, which we are all hoping for, and isn’t as difficult as some are proclaiming, would put a serious dent in Hearts chances, and further remind our Glasgow rivals that we are fully committed and focused in retaining our title as we invariably do. Winners seem to know how to win, while losers…
Taking the three points is the target for Celtic tomorrow afternoon at Paradise. Beat Hearts and keep our place at the top of the table.
Have you watched this yet? If not we think you’ll enjoy every single second of it…
