Footy Headlines Extraordinary Celtic Third Kit Leak
The report on the reliable Footy Headlines states:
“The Adidas Celtic 27-28 third football shirt combines a solid black base with “Blanch Brown” detailing. The muted, warm brown tone replaces typical contrasting colors and is applied to all branding, including the Adidas performance logo, the Dafabet shirt sponsor, and the iconic Three Stripes along the shoulders.”
“A monochrome Celtic crest sits on the chest in the same Blanch Brown shade, complete with the commemorative star above.
“While black change strips have made frequent and popular appearances in Celtic’s kit history, teaming black with a subtle earth tone represents entirely new territory for the Bhoys.”
There’s also this clarification from Footy Headlines:
“Please note that our visual is an early mockup created with FIFA Kit Creator to illustrate the official colorway. The final design pattern, collar style, and template details will vary when the official jersey is unveiled.”
I was in the Celtic Superstore ahead of last Thursday’s Europa League match against Celta Vigo and while looking at the shirts with Lubo98 of this parish, I thought that the third strip which Celtic wore at Easter Road on Sunday was the best looking one on display from the three options for this season.
Yet on watching on Sky Sports and in our match photos from the 2-1 victory over Hibs, the Celtic shirt looked pale and much less impressive. Maybe that’s something to do with the weather or the lack of spectacle at Easter Road due to so many empty seats around the stadium? Who knows…
Iif this latest leak from Footy Insider is accurate then a brown coloured Celtic third kit will certainly be unusual but remember we had a pink shirt back in Brendan’s first spell in charge did we not?
