Celtic are back in Europa League action on Thursday night when they face Celta Vigo at Parkhead. With two losses from their first two games in this competition, the Bhoys need a win here to realistically keep their chances of progression alive.

But Celta are in the same position, and they are not be taken lightly, currently sat in eighth position in LaLiga. Here we take a look at the starting XI Martin O'Neill should use for this game.

GK - Viljami Sinisalo

Sinisalo is the obvious starter between the sticks. He struggled against Benfica but looked much better against Hearts and should keep his place here.

LB - Kieran Tierney

Tierney has struggled with busy schedule over the last couple of years, and this is his third game in the space of a week. It will be interesting to see if he is available, but if he is, he starts, especially after his best game of the season over the weekend.

CB - Liam Scales

Scales played well over the weekend and will surely keep his place in the absence of Cameron Carter-Vickers through injury.

CB - Auston Trusty

Dane Murray has done well enough, but Celtic need a more experienced centre-back against quality opposition.

RB - Colby Donovan

Alistair Johnston isn't quite ready to return, so Donovan should remain the starter here.

CDM - Callum McGregor

McGregor had one of his better games over the weekend and will surely keep his place here. Celtic don't have many options other than Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

CDM - Mika Baur

Baur is in fine form and will likely keep his place here. He needs a big night in Europe.

CAM - Benjamin Nygren

Nygren looked a lot better over the weekend having been a little out of form of late. Celtic need quality players like him to take control of tough games like this.

LW - Callum Osmand

Osmand's minutes are being carefully managed, but after what we saw from him on Sunday, even if he can only give Celtic the first half, he should start. With Yang Hyun-jun not quite back and Jota not fully fit, Osmand looks to be the best option the Bhoys have, and it's difficult to drop a player after scoring twice.

RW - Haissem Hassan

Hassan remains the sharpest option on the right, but he really needs to start contributing defensively, especially against better teams like Celta, who will really test the Bhoys defensively.

CF - Camilo Durán

Durán has to be the starter in the centre-forward role. He is by the far the most in-form forward, and Kasper Hogh needs to prove himself worthy of the starting spot before that can change.
