Camilo Duran and Dane Murray on Celtic’s victory at Easter Road
Camilo Duran and Dane Murray yesterday afternoon gave their thoughts on Celtic’s 2-1 win over Hibs at Easter Road which restored Celtic’s four points advantage at the top of the Scottish Premiership…
Camilo Duran hits double figures
Celtic came away from Easter Road with all three points after a well earned victory against rock bottom Hibs, and once again Camilo Duran was a definitive factor in our success.
The Colombian scored the winner on the stroke of half time to register his 10th goal of the campaign, and spoke of his delight at playing his part in the side’s victory that seen them stretch their lead at the top to four points.
“I’m happy to help the team”
Speaking to Celtic-player after the game, the Colombian striker said: “I’m really happy to get the victory, that’s what’s important. Now we just need to reset, rest and focus on the next game.
“We knew it would be a tough game here in this stadium. Thankfully it fell to me and it was a good goal, and I’m happy to help the team.
“It’s an honour to wear this beautiful jersey and enjoy every game, every training session, so hopefully it keeps coming.”
Defender Dane Murray who also played his part in what was his fifth consecutive appearance, spoke of the importance of the hard earned victory.
“Really important to get three points on the board”
Speaking to the Official Celtic App after the game, the 23 year old defender, who started in central defence before moving out to right-back in the second-half, said: “The conditions definitely didn’t help, but I think it’s a really important win and really important to get three points on the board.
“It’s important for me just to keep my head down, take it game by game and just see what happens.
“I’ve come on a few times at right back this season and I quite enjoy it, but I’d play anywhere. If I’m getting minutes on the pitch, I don’t mind. I’ll put a pair of goalie gloves on if I need to!
“But now the focus is on Wednesday and go and try to pick up another three points.”
