Hearts have started the season with wins over Aberdeen and Dundee United
Both Celtic and Rangers suffered disappointing midweek results in their Champions League qualifiers
Hibs and Aberdeen's weekend games are postponed due to their European qualifiers
It is a pared back weekend of Scottish Premiership action with Aberdeen and Hibernian taking the weekend off ahead of second-leg qualifiers for the Europa League and Conference League respectively.
There are a trio of games on Saturday as top-of-the-table Hearts and Celtic bid to protect their 100% records, while Rangers head for a Sunday lunchtime test at St Mirren with boss Russell Martin under intense scrutiny already.
We are looking ahead to all four games in the Scottish Premiership this weekend, with a score prediction for each one.
Celtic vs Livingston (Saturday, 3pm)
Celtic's blissful start to the season hit a pothole on Wednesday night as they drew 0-0 with Kairat Almaty in their Champions League qualifier in Glasgow.
The Hoops now face a long trip to Kazakhstan on Tuesday with the bounty of participating amongst Europe's elite on the line.
Brendan Rodgers sounded massively frustrated at the lack of transfer activity over the summer when he spoke after the Kairat game and supporters also vented frustrations with the club's board.
Livingston have scored five goals and taken four points from their two games in the league. They have lost eight in a row against Celtic, however, and the home side should return to winning ways at Parkhead.
Score prediction: Celtic 3-0 Livingston
Hearts vs Motherwell (Saturday, 3pm)
Wins over Aberdeen and Dundee United were the perfect start for Hearts after some high-profile investment this summer from Tony Bloom.
The Jambos fans would have been very disappointed last week to get knocked out of the League Cup on penalties at St Mirren, however.
All three of Motherwell's games this season in league and cup have been level after 90 minutes and new boss Jens Berthel Askou may remain unbeaten following this visit to Tynecastle.
Score prediction: Hearts 1-1 Motherwell
Kilmarnock vs Dundee (Saturday, 3pm)
Both teams have scored in the four league encounters involving Killie and Dundee this season.
Kilmarnock have played seven domestic games in league and cup and have not lost in regulation time.
Dundee responded to an opening-weekend league loss at home against Hibs by claiming an unlikely draw away at Rangers, though that owed much to the Gers' wastefulness.
Score prediction: Kilmarnock 2-1 Dundee
St Mirren vs Rangers (Sunday, 12pm)
The midweek lesson from Club Brugge in the Champions League has served to really turn up the heat on Russell Martin at Rangers.
The Light Blues have failed to win either of their league games and they stuttered past Alloa in the League Cup.
St Mirren frustrated Celtic for 87 minutes on the opening weekend and held Motherwell scoreless since, while they took out Hearts on penalties in the League Cup.
The Buddies excelled against Rangers last season, winning two and drawing one of the last three clashes.
St Mirren have found the net in five straight clashes with Rangers and the visitors may have to work hard for a much-needed win.
Score prediction: St Mirren 1-2 Rangers
