Xabi Alonso admits Estevao has given him a selection headache after Chelsea win
Xabi Alonso has said Estevao Willian has given him a selection headache after impressing during Chelsea's 2-0 win over Manchester United.
Estevao made his first start of the Premier League season and shone as Chelsea claimed an important win at Stamford Bridge.
Morgan Rogers and Cole Palmer scored the goals for the West Londoners, while Estevao's impressive performance caught the eye. The Brazilian looked lively throughout and had a goal disallowed for offside, while the teenager delivered a number of dangerous set pieces.
Estevao has been linked with an exit in the January transfer window, amid frustration over his role in the squad. Ahead of the game, Alonso insisted the 19-year-old would get his chance and said Estevao's performance has given him a selection headache moving forward.

”He did really well, I’m really happy for him," Alonso said to TNT Sports.
"He deserved this moment, to get the chance and he’s been a threat. He’s been close to scoring that goal, he had a few chances, at the end he was tired but very happy for him.
”Absolutely, absolutely [he’s given Alonso a selection headache], he’s given me reasons. This is football and sometimes you don’t get what you want but the best way to show is not being angry, it’s being competitive and Este has done it really well.
On the win, Alonso said his team took on the message to step up after half-time, following a mixed first-half performance.
"We stepped up, we’ve been more rational and a bit more controlled," Alonso explained.
"We were having chances [in the first half] but they were more in transition more than in the build up. And once we connected better between player in the pockets, we reached a better position.”
