How far will five-times League Cup winners Aston Villa go in this season's competition? Having already beaten Coventry City in round three, Unai Emery's team head to the South Coast to take on AFC Bournemouth for a place in the last eight. The Villans are currently unbeaten in seven meetings with the Cherries, so have to fancy their chances of victory.

If they do progress, they'll learn their quarter-final opponents shortly after full time, so here are all the details.

The Carabao Cup quarter-final draw will take place on Wednesday 28 October, shortly after the night's five matches have all concluded. It is expected to commence at around 10:30pm (GMT).

How can I watch the Carabao Cup quarter-final draw?

The draw will be broadcast in the UK live on both Sky Sports Main Event as well as free-to-air on ITV1, after both have concluded their coverage of Liverpool vs Chelsea.

Who is already through to the Carabao Cup quarter-finals?

In Tuesday's two ties, Fleetwood Town of EFL League Two caused one of the biggest upsets in the competition's entire history, dumping out Arsenal on penalties at Highbury.

At the same time, League One outfit Bradford City beat Peterborough United 2-0. The Bantams of course reached the 2013 final, ousting Aston Villa over two legs in the semis en route.

Who else could reach the Carabao Cup quarter-finals?

Alongside the two lower-league clubs, six Premier League sides will complete the quarter-final lineup. Five will progress on Wednesday, before the round wraps up on Merseyside on Thursday.

Aston Villa or Bournemouth have been allocated ball number 3 by the EFL. All eight ball numbers are documented below:

Bradford City

Fleetwood Town

AFC Bournemouth or Aston Villa

Fulham or Crystal Palace

Liverpool or Chelsea

Manchester City or Brighton & Hove Albion

Sunderland or Brentford

Everton or Newcastle United

When will the Carabao Cup quarter-final ties be played?

The Carabao Cup quarter-finals are scheduled for the week commencing 14 December. This falls in between a Premier League visit to the Coventry Building Society Arena on Sunday 13th and a clash with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday 21st for Emery's team.

Thus, Aston Villa's potential tie would take place on either the Wednesday or Thursday, depending on opponent. Were they to draw Brighton, that would cause complicated scheduling conflicts, considering the Seagulls' UEFA Conference League participation. We won't worry about that yet!
