Video: Calafiori completes great week with Arsenal and Italy goals

Riccardo Calafiori really is becoming a surprising hitman, as after scoring his first senior goal for Italy this week, he also found the net in the Premier League for Arsenal today.

The left-back has never been particularly prolific, but is finding his feet in attacking positions this season.

He was already on target in the Community Shield when beating Manchester City 3-0 at the start of the campaign, then broke his senior duck for Italy in the 3-1 Nations League victory over Turkiye earlier this week.

Calafiori scored the equaliser for Arsenal in today’s Premier League encounter with Leeds United, ready to turn in from close range on a knockdown.

It sparked the comeback for what was eventually a 2-1 victory, sealed by Bruno Guimaraes.

On top of these three goals in all competition, the Azzurri star also has two assists to his name this season.

The left-back now has six goals and seven assists in 72 competitive appearances for Arsenal.
