Transfer Rumours: Man Utd make strong Jacobo Ramon push as €100m move inevitable
FootballTransfers runs through the biggest rumours and gossip from 8 November, including the latest updates on Jacobo Ramon, Luka Vuskovic and Alejandro Balde.
Man Utd's Ramon push
Man Utd are the "most persistent" suitors of Como defender Jacobo Ramon, AS understands.
The 21-year-old is being heavily pursued by Premier League clubs and is facing an uncertain future at Como, who will likely receive major offers for him next summer. In addition to Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool are also keeping close tabs on Ramon.
The Red Devils are showing the strongest interest at this stage, but the fact that Real Madrid have a buy-back clause complicates matters for the Old Trafford club and any other suitors. Los Blancos are believed to be keen to trigger this clause.
Liverpool serious about Vuskovic
Liverpool are smitten with Brighton centre-back Luka Vuskovic, according to the Daily Briefing.
The Reds were already monitoring his exploits at Hamburg last season and were surprised that Tottenham sold him to Brighton. Despite his recent move, there is a growing sense that Vuskovic may already be sold on next summer.
Liverpool, in particular, could make a move for him after this season. Brighton know that a transfer is inevitable, but they will not let him go cheaply. He is their club-record signing, and they will likely demand a fee north of €100 million for him.
Balde's priority
Alejandro Balde's agent Jorge Mendes is paying close attention to the Premier League ahead of the player's anticipated Barcelona exit, as per Sport.
The 22-year-old is likely to leave the Catalans after dropping down the pecking order. Mendes is actively scouring the market for opportunities, and he is particularly focused on Premier League clubs, who might be more willing to pay Balde's wages than suitors elsewhere.
Aston Villa, Liverpool and Man Utd have already shown concrete interest and been informed of the terms of a potential deal, while the likes of Man City and Tottenham could become options if they offload players in January.
Man Utd step up Page chase
Man Utd have "ramped up" their pursuit of Leicester wonderkid Louis Page, TEAMtalk claims.
The Red Devils explored a move in the summer but failed to agree terms with Leicester. At the time, it was already clear that this wouldn't be the end of the Manchester club's interest.
However, Man Utd now face growing competition for the England youth international's signature. Page is attracting widespread attention and will have his pick of clubs next summer. Man Utd, though, remain confident of landing the 18-year-old.
Liverpool target Mohya
The same outlet also writes that Liverpool have entered the race for Borussia Monchengladbach sensation Wael Mohya.
The 17-year-old is one of the Bundesliga's breakout stars and has been called up to Germany's senior team for the upcoming break. With Gladbach battling relegation, Mohya's future is uncertain. If they go down, he will almost certainly leave next summer.
The Bundesliga side want to extend his contract and are aware that they will have to grant him a release clause. All of Germany's major clubs want the versatile attacker, while Liverpool and Brighton are two of his foreign suitors.
