Tottenham are weighing up a summer move for Manchester City striker Omar Marmoush as they look to continue their spending spree, reports CaughtOffside.

Spurs have been busy in the market following their close call with relegation, bringing in Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke and Martin Dubravka from Liverpool, Bournemouth, Brighton and Burnley, respectively.

The north London side made Mateus Fernandes their club-record signing after the Portuguese youngster completed his move across the capital last week.

And they are expected to smash that again with Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali on the cusp of a big-money summer switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs set to prioritise attack

Spurs are now expected to turn their attention to the attack as they look to give head coach Roberto De Zerbi the strongest possible squad to secure a European return.

Savinho is believed to be a top target for Spurs, and the Brazilian may not be the only attacker they sign from City this summer.

Marmoush has previously been linked with a move to north London, though a transfer failed to materialise.

The Egyptian has struggled to consolidate a starting spot at the Etihad Stadium following his arrival from Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt 18 months ago.

A return to Germany has been mooted, while Italian giants Juventus are also believed to be keeping tabs on the Egypt international.

However, Spurs would feel confident about winning the race to sign the 27-year-old, who would cost around €60m to sign from City.

Marmoush isn’t the only forward to have been linked with a move to the capital this summer, with Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi and Monaco hitman Folarin Balogun also believed to be on Spurs’ wishlist.

A number of players have been linked with a summer Spurs exit with Guglielmo Vicario, Richarlison, Pape Sarr, Radu Dragusin and Cristian Romero expected to be sold in order to help fund the club's rebuild.
