Martin Zubimendi is ready to leave Arsenal and he has a number of top clubs waiting in the wings to land him, according to reports.

Zubimendi won the Premier League in his first season as a Gunners player. The Spaniard played all 38 league games as well as 13 in the Champions League as Arsenal reached the final.

But the signing of Bruno Guimaraes and the evolution of Myles Lewis-Skelly in the midfield has meant Zubimendi has been given far fewer minutes this term - just 99 in the Premier League and eight in Europe.

A number of outlets have reported the Spaniard is ready to depart the Emirates.

TEAMtalk states Zubimendi is prepared to exit as soon as January in order to get his career back on track.

Arsenal themselves are aware that the former Real Sociedad man is looking to the exit and are preparing for his departure, should it come.

It's also believed they'd be open to loaning Zubimendi out, but it would depend what structure was offered if that sort of deal was done.

Top clubs eyeing Martin Zubimendi

It's believed seven of Europe's biggest clubs are aware of the coming opportunity to land the Arsenal midfielder in January.

In his native Spain, there will be the option of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, while in Germany, big hitters Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are aware that Zubimendi wants a move.

There is also a chance the Gunners midfielder could remain in the Premier League.

At Chelsea, where Spaniard Xabi Alonso is at the helm, there have been conversations about Zubimendi's situation, while Liverpool have also been made aware.

The Reds wanted to sign the midfielder prior to his move to Arsenal, and they thought they were getting their man before he decided he'd rather stay in Spain.

That didn't last too long, when the Gunners finally became the first side to get him to leave his native country.

Whether Zubimendi would want to go back to Spain or would be open to a move of one of the clubs elsewhere remains to be seen.

What is evident, though, is that he's very unhappy with his current situation and might well be on the move soon.
