Thomas Frank Set to Lead Tottenham vs Dortmund Despite Sack Pressure After West Ham Defeat

Thomas Frank is expected to remain in charge for Tottenham’s upcoming Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund, reports The Athletic.
Spurs are under mounting pressure to relieve Frank of his duties at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium following Saturday’s 2-1 loss to rivals West Ham.
Frank and the players were booed off the pitch following the full time whistle after Callum Wilson’s late winner earned all the spoils for the Hammers.
Spurs set to continue with Frank
And despite off-field discussions surrounding the future of the former Brentford boss, Frank is expected to remain in charge for Tuesday’s game against Dortmund.
The decision is unlikely to sit well with supporters, who are demanding the club sack Frank, despite only taking over the Spurs reins in June following Ange Postecoglou’s departure.
Spurs started well under Frank, even as they lost the Super Cup to PSG on penalties, as they won five of the opening eight games with the 52-year-old in charge, including a 2-0 win at Manchester City.
Spurs struggling after bright start
However, results started to deteriorate after a 3-0 home win over Doncaster in the EFL Cup. Indeed, Spurs have won only six of their last 24 matches in all competitions, and have claimed all the spoils in just two of their last 13 in the league.
The dip in form has seen Spurs drop to 14th in England’s top tier, and they are now just 10 points above the relegation zone following Saturday’s loss to West Ham.
Frank faces mounting absentee crisis
Spurs gear up for their game against Dortmund with a raft of absentee concerns following the defeat to the Hammers.
Both Ben Davies and Archie Gray were forced off in the loss, while Frank is already unable to call upon Rodrigo Bentancur, Joao Palhinha, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Mohammed Kudus due to injury.
Yves Bissouma, Radu Dragusin and new signing Conor Gallagher are unregistered for the competition, Micky van de Ven is suspended and Pape Sarr has been struggling with illness while on AFCON duty with Sunday’s victors Senegal.
