Thomas Frank Sacked by Tottenham After Newcastle Defeat as Spurs’ Premier League Struggles Continue

Thomas Frank has been relieved of his duties as Tottenham boss.
Frank watched on as Spurs crashed to a 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle on Tuesday night.
The result means the north London side have now won only two of their last 17 league matches, and have failed to win in eight in the Premier League, their worst run since 2008.
And while Frank suggested he'd be in charge for the North London Derby against Arsenal next weekend, the Dane has since been sacked as head coach.
Spurs confirm Frank exit
"The Club has taken the decision to make a change in the Men’s Head Coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today," the club posted on their official X account.
"Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together.
"However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary.
"Throughout his time at the Club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the Club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future."
Spurs are yet to decide who will replace Frank as head coach, but current USA Men's head coach Mauricio Pochettino is one of the early favourites to succeed the Dane, albeit after the 2026 World Cup.
