The Atlético Madrid clash approaches: the curse of injuries strikes a prominent Barcelona star against Aston Villa

Will he make it for Sunday's clash?

Barcelona suffered a heavy blow during their match against Aston Villa on Tuesday evening at the Camp Nou, in the fourth round of the league phase of the UEFA Champions League.

Injuries have piled up at Barcelona this season, and the curse claimed another star against Aston Villa. This time it was Rodri.

According to the newspaper "As", Rodri could not finish the game. He came off at half-time, leaving the coaching staff worried.

Pain in his right calf forced the issue, and the German coach brought on Marc Bernal to avoid further problems.

Tests tomorrow, Wednesday, will reveal the true nature of the injury. With the Atletico Madrid match looming this Sunday in La Liga, any precautionary measure is essential.
