Slavia Prague vs Arsenal: Predicted starting 11 as Gunners travel to Czech capital
Arsenal are hitting the road once again as they travel across Europe to take on Slavia Prague in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Kai Havertz grabbed the winning goal for the Gunners in their last outing as they came away from Anfield with a 1-0 win over Liverpool, achieving their first victory on the famous turf in 14 years.
Mikel Arteta will look to rotate his side for their trip to the Czech capital, and will be boosted by players returning from injury, but he will want to avoid changing things too much as Arsenal look to return to winning ways in Europe, and take a step closer to securing a top eight finish.
Here's how the Gunners could line up when they take on Slavia Prague.
Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Slavia Prague (4-3-3)
Goalkeeper & Defenders
David Raya (GK) - Yep, there's no need to explain this one.
Ben White (RB) - He will come in to replace Jurrien Timber on the right side of defence to allow the Dutchman a chance to rest and reset after putting in a shift at Anfield.
Ezri Konsa (CB) - With William Saliba's return from injury on the horizon, Konsa will know the battle for the starting spot will be beginning soon, but he keeps his place for this one, especially after a standout showing against Liverpool.
Gabriel (CB) - Like his defensive partner, Gabriel was crucial in the win on Merseyside, and he will no doubt continue at the back in Prague.
Piero Hincapié (LB) - Changes will also be made on the left side of defence as Hincapié comes in to replace Riccardo Calafiori, with the aim of bouncing back from a poor performance at Fleetwood.
Midfielders
Myles Lewis-Skelly (CM) - He lost his starting place to Bruno Guimarães on Sunday, but Lewis-Skelly will come back in to midfield with a point to prove against Slavia Prague.
Declan Rice (CM) - The centre back claims are continuing to make everyone laugh after Rice ran the show at Anfield, and he will be eager to do the same again as he starts on Wednesday night.
Martin Ødegaard (AM) - His weekend display was relatively mixed so he will be looking to show off his best attributes with a start against weaker opposition.
Forwards
Noni Madueke (RW) - There could be temptation to start Max Dowman on the right to give Madueke a rest, but the senior man will start on the flank and should play at least the first 45 minutes before making way for the youngster.
Viktor Gyökeres (ST) - It was Kai Havertz who grabbed the winner at Anfield, but Gyökeres will lead the line against Slavia Prague, and he will be hoping to add to his season tally that he opened a week ago at Fleetwood.
Eberechi Eze (LW) - Having battled a minor injury, Eze should be able to shake off any problems to start on the left wing and make another statement in the Czech capital.
Predicted Arsenal lineup vs Slavia Prague: Raya; White, Konsa, Gabriel, Hincapié; Lewis-Skelly, Rice, Ødegaard; Madueke, Gyökeres, Eze
