A second bit of negative injury news has been handed to head coach Ruben Amorim ahead of Thursday’s trip to face Bournemouth.

The team trained this morning at Milanello on the eve of their visit to the south coast of England for the third game of their Europa League campaign. What emerged was that Samuel Chukwueze was absent from the session, and will undergo a specialist check on a hip injury that is nagging him.

Manuele Baiocchini spoke live on Sky (via MilanNews) this lunchtime and he reported that Goncalo Ramos felt some discomfort in training today. The current diagnosis is a muscle overload in his calf.

The striker has already left the training ground and will undergo routine tests tomorrow. Obviously, he will not be called up for the Europa League match against Bournemouth and therefore will not travel with the team.

The other absences will be Matteo Gabbia and Alexis Saelemaekers. However, the Belgian was back at Milanello today after the ankle operation that he underwent last week in Amsterdam.

Amorim is preparing to make several changes compared to Sunday’s match against Atalanta. With Ramos out it will be up to Francesco Camarda to lead the line. Alphadjo Cisse, Omari Hutchinson and Fikayo Tomori are ready to start too.
