The Premier League has always provided a platform for young talent to emerge, but opportunities have to be taken. With several established names departing, injuries creating openings and managers showing faith in youth, a number of exciting prospects have stepped into the spotlight this season.

From Brighton's latest centre-forward gem to Liverpool's emerging midfield talent, the 2026/27 campaign has already provided a glimpse of the next generation. Here are four Premier League youngsters who have seized their opportunity and made a big impression this season.

Charalampos Kostoulas - Brighton

Danny Welbeck's departure for Chelsea in the summer meant Brighton needed someone to step up. The veteran netted 13 goals in the Premier League last season, with no other Seagulls star managing more than five.

Fortunately, Brighton's succession planning is the best in the business. After biding his time last season, Charalampos Kostoulas has made his mark this time around. The 19-year-old has scored three goals and has created two more in nine appearances.

Kostoulas has emerged as one of Europe's most exciting centre-forward prospects this season. Expect a monster offer from Chelsea in the coming transfer windows then...

Stephen Mfuni - Coventry City

Coventry City borrowed Stephen Mfuni from Manchester City in the summer and the teenager has made a big impression.

The 18-year-old has shone with his confidence in possession and willingness to drive forward. The 6ft 4in defender is at home at centre-back or left-back, and has cited Josko Gvardiol as a role model for his game.

Frank Lampard has been delighted with his impact and has predicted the teener is 'going to go a long way in the game'.

Josh King - Fulham

Josh King made 32 league appearances for Fulham last season, so to call this campaign his breakthrough is a stretch. But there's no doubt King has taken huge strides. He's started all nine Premier League games for Fulham, already approaching the 15 league starts he made in 2025/26.

Across those nine games, he's matched his goal involvements from last season (3), and has earned a maiden England call-up for November's break. Thomas Tuchel is a big fan, and said he views King as a versatile attacking option.

Trey Nyoni - Liverpool

When Liverpool let Curtis Jones leave for Inter Milan without a replacement last summer, most felt the Reds had left themselves short. Instead, Trey Nyoni has shown sceptics were wrong to worry.

Nyoni has made 12 senior appearances this season and shone on his full Premier League debut against Arsenal last weekend. In midweek, he scored his first senior goal in the Champions League and a place in Andoni Iraola's midfield looks his to lose.
